Several Sentinel articles over the past six months have stated that San Bernardino Mayor John Valdivia and San Bernardino City Councilman Ted Sanchez are cousins. Mr. Sanchez informed the Sentinel that there is no family relationship between him and the mayor.

In an article about support of and opposition to the conversion of residential property in Bloomington to industrial use, the Sentinel quoted Hilda Cabral, describing her as a teacher at Bloomington High School. Cabral is not a teacher but does work at the high school.

In articles published on June 21 and July 5, the Sentinel reported that Assistant San Bernardino City Manager Teri Ledoux, who is now serving in the capacity of acting city manager, is receiving  $172,000 per year in total compensation. In fact, Ledoux is currently receiving a salary of $212,000 per year and benefits in excess of $40,000 per year, putting her total annual compensation, at present, above $250,000 per year.
