Grace Bernal’s California Style: Midi Redux

Midi skirts are a favorite of mine. This ladylike piece is perfect and classic for any female. It works both day and evening, and for parties too. They come in  high-waisted versions, which are really in. There are also pencil midi skirts and full midi skirts. You can pair them with anything from a simple top to booties. The midi look has a very romantic feel to it and they’re great for an Easter Sunday.  You can also turn it into a  statement piece. Add a pastel top and  glittery heels, and you have a new outfit ready for a fun time. To keep it casual, try a pair of sandals with your skirt and a tank top. I have also seen the midi in pastel leather colors. If you want a more classic color, stick to black. You can definitely build edge with the midi, but the midi look’s key is chic. Add a strappy heel or make a statement by wearing a pleated long midi. The designs of the midi are endless; therefore, if you’re into prints. do wear it like so. This piece will bring any outfit back to life. If you’re using a printed skirt, pair it with a solid color top. Pointed-toe nude heels will add height if you want to grow in your outfit. The midi skirt is very functional and works with just about anything you pair it with. Enjoy the piece to the fullest!

“Don’t let anyone make you believe the length of your skirt is a measure of your character.” -Amitabh Bachchan
