Cal State Fullerton Deputy Provost McMahan Coming To CSUSB To Replace Provost Delgado

Shari G. McMahan, who is currently the deputy provost at California State University, Fullerton, will transfer to Cal State San Bernardino  to become the new provost and vice president for academic affairs on September 1.
Cal State President Tomas Morales made the announcement last week. McMahan will replace Juan Delgado, who has been serving in the post of interim provost.
McMahan, who holds a bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. in social ecology from UC Irvine, and a master’s degree in health science from Cal State Northridge, was both a professor and the second leading member of the faculty in Fullerton.
At Cal State San Bernardino, she will hold a teaching position as as a full professor in the College of Natural Sciences, Department of Health Science and Human Ecology, and in her role as provost and academic affairs vice president be charged with supporting the faculty in teaching and research.
McMahan will be the first woman provost at California State University San Bernardino.
